Global Warming is the heating up of the earth due to the way we live today.
One of the most common causes of global warming is greenhouse gas. Greenhouse gas is all that icky smoke you see coming from factory smoke stacks or back of cars and buses. Greenhouse gases also come from the burning of fossil fuels, like coal and oil.
These gases are heating up the earth in a way nature never intended. The unusual temperatures are melting the ice in the artic, raising ocean levels, and creating warmer environments. These disturbances in nature are killing animals and plants, and will effect humans as hotter environments change food and water supplies.
What you can do to stop making Greenhouse Gases:
Carpool, take public transportation or ride a bike. This will lessen the amount of gasses created by all the driving we do.
